Light and tough, this hub has been designed to fit the readily available VW Type II combo spindle and bearings as used on the range of Rorty Supalite Buggies and many other off-road buggies. For use on the Rorty R21 the important dimensions of these spindles are detailed in the buggy build manual.
The rear of the hub is machined in the popular 3 x 5.00″ bolt pattern to allow direct bolt on of sprint/midget style rotors.
On our R21 buggy, in combination with the Rorty designed uprights, it takes a Wilwood super alloy 10.5″ dia rotor to suit Wilwood GP320 calipers.
The machined press in hub cap has a threaded oil plug with o-ring seal (plug included) to allow you to run oil in the front bearings for reduced friction.
Spindles, bearings, seals and wheel studs are not supplied and most are readily availble off the shelf from your local auto parts supplier. We can supply any brake parts and hardware you require – just get in touch.
